Feeling Skinny!

 This picture is a "Before" taken for work in August 2010.

This picture is "After" taken today at work.  Tried to duplicate the pose for comparison but it was more difficult than I imagined.

I have six more weeks on this diet but only 3 1/2 more weeks until I can reintroduce sugar!  Whoo hooo!

I really did get it !

I really did get my CCW card.  The picture has been sitting in my camera for several months now.  Let's here it for procrastination!   Why post now when you can do it later?

Half way there!

Just finished my CCW course today.  Really proud of my target.

Now all that is left to do is pay my money to get my card.
I know that it is a little dark but this way you can see the light through the holes and better see where my shots went.
Yay me!

Hmm girls night ...in

so your husband goes out of town and you have the WHOLE house ALL to yourself  for the whole weekend....What do you do?
I decide to sit in the living room, listening to Glenn Beck streaming online on the computer because I was in the pool during his show on the radio, updating my blog and planning my sharing time for Sunday.  I had offers to go do "something fun" but I chose this.  I even have movies that I rented but I chose this.

Speaking of lame...I pass this billboard on the way to work everyday and it irritates me to no end.
... ok, just figured out that when we tried to download the pictures from the memory card to the computer before Frank went on his trip...apparently, it did not work.  Hmm. should have checked that before we deleted them off the memory card.  Rats. that's what happens when you try and do too many things at once.
so anyway I don't have the picture of that billboard anymore but I do have a copy of this one.  Apparently it is on the highway coming into Arizona from California.


totally cracked me up!!!!  I don't know if anyone else finds it amusing but I think it is.  If you come to our state and don't know how to shoot straight, don't blame us and don't tick us off either!!!!
probably a good thing anyway.  I didn't want to promote the company that put up the irritating billboard anyway.

Dinner last Friday

Me- with a lemon...can you believe that Frank tried to get me to bite down on it...as if I have NOT known him for 20 years.  I know better than that

So we went shooting last Friday, Aug 27.  This was dinner afterwards at Garcia's.  I think our waitress is now convinced that we are insane or something.  I sure hope we left a big enough tip.

Nope not rabid, just too much whipped cream.  Wait...can you ever have too much whipped cream?

Maybe next time I shouldn't bring the camera with us.

Nothing really

So I totally just read Seriously So Blessed's blog and just got righteously inspired to post again! I need to post pictures of my Grand Adventure in a car with three total strangers, my new clinic (again!) and of course church stuff. But I am so craving sleep right now that it is hard to be motivated to roll of the couch in search of the camera.

But question of the year....

To Facebook or Not To Facebook
that is the question.

What do you think? Do I continue to stalk on Frank's because his friends are way more interesting? Or should I get my own so I can post all my cleverness without filtering it through the studmeister?...

Bummer of a birthday..again

Remembering David Miller 1988-2010.
Frank's sister's oldest son passed away today at the age of 21. He was in a car accident on Friday night and suffered significant trauma to his brain. After several days of praying, hoping and waiting for something to improve, his family made the decision to release him from life support today.
I personally only have a handful of memories with David but enjoyed reading his deep thoughts on Facebook recently.
My prayer now is that Derek and Clarence can find and teach him :-) and that he will accept.
